Dr. Swift's first experience with Virginia was from 1990 to 1993, where he trained as an intern and resident at Georgetown University. After working for a year as a moonlighting Critical Care Admitting Resident, he traveled to Rhode Island and Brown University for a three year fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Though originally from the San Francisco Bay area, Rick is returning to Virginia with his wife Teresa and their children, Maggie and Nathan.
