A few questions: Will extensive turn lanes draw more long-haul tractor trailer trucks? Remember, the Virginia Inland Port (a major truck/train transshipment point) is located in Front Royal.
How did VDOT determine that 4,400 vehicles currently travel the road daily and project that the number will more than double to 9,300 by the year 2021?
How many cars or trucks will the left turn lane stacking area hold? 22 cars? Eight tractor-trailer trucks?
Pavement on Route 211 will double from 22 feet wide to nearly 50 feet wide. Is this four lanes? Will Route 211 in the future be further widened beyond the planned turn lanes? Will this proposed project draw more traffic? Traffic lights?
People complained about the "Route 621 surprise". Well, here's your chance to voice your opinion on something right now. Comment sheets will be available at the meeting.
