Mrs. Williams, a teacher in the Rappahannock Elementary School, loves to go to auctions and to collect old things. One of the most interesting is a family piece. It looks like an antique wardrobe but turns into an early version of a standing Murphy bed.
Once neglected, the old Stone House now proudly reflects the Williams’ love of history and the land.
Tour hours are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19. Afternoon tea will be served from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, and is included in the $10 ticket price.
