My husband, Tom, and I arranged to meet with Tareq Salahi, the general manager of Oasis. He couldn’t have been more gracious or accommodating.
He explained that Howard Baldwin, the owner of the Penguins, happened to sample the Oasis Chardonnay, and loved it.
Since 1992 the Oasis Chardonnay has been the official wine of the team, and beginning in 1996, the Cabernet Sauvignon has also been designated.
Three private labels have been designed for the Penguins.
