Ward Wilkerson Sr.

Ward Faber Wilkerson Sr., 76, of Culpeper, died on Saturday, Sept. 20 at his residence.
He was bom on March 11, 1921 in Spotsylvania County to the late Robert Wilkerson and Goldie Rhone Carter Wilkerson.
He served in the United States Army during World War II, was an active member of AA for 35 years, and a member of Woodville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Laura Willis Wilkerson; one son Ward (Dan) Wilkerson Jr. and wife Nancy Embrey Wilkerson of Boston; one sister Gladys Wine of Stafford; one brother Kenneth Wilkerson of Spotsylvania; two grandsons Brink Alexander Wilkerson and Jonathan Ward Wilkerson and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 23 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fredericksburg with the Rev. Starke Jones and Deacon Jeff Light officiating.
Found and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
