“Blood cholesterol is always one of the most popular screenings,” said Michelle North, community relations and health outreach coordinator for Fauquier Hospital. “People have heard a lot about the importance of blood cholesterol to cardiac health, and so they’re always interested in knowing their cholesterol,” she said.
The free screenings are what draws most people to the health fair. While they are there, they watch various demonstrations, pick up free health literature, or just check out the decor.
To go along with the automotive preventive maintenance angle, this year’s heath fair will sport an automotive theme.
