Surprisingly, that actually may have been pretty good advice. It is from the bark of a tree that aspirin first came.

Of course, as people became more educated, they eschewed the old-fashioned ways for something that was newer, more sophisticated and more up-to-date.

Physicians decided that if a person had a headache, the reason was because they had too much blood. If they would just let a bit of it out, the patient would surely recover. If not, just tap him again. I wonder how many people went to the doctor with a headache and came home dead.
