breeze to puree baby’s dinner.
Make sure anything that will touch the food is scrupulously clean. Add prepared formula or breast milk to achieve the right consistency — super smooth for baby’s 4-5 months and increasingly “lumpy” for older babies.
Set aside a little time make a week’s || worth of food at once. A food processor works well for making larger quantities.
For a last minute meal, though, the mini-choppers are great.
Storage
Any food made for baby should be used immediately or frozen right away. There are two easy ways to freeze meal-size portions.
• The cube method — Freeze prepared food in ice cube trays. Pop out when frozen and store in freezer bags.
• The plop method — On a clean cookie sheet, “plop” teaspoons of baby food. Place cookie sheet in freezer. When frozen, store in plastic bags.
Each morning, take out enough for the day. The servings are easy to pack for the . baby sitter, too.
