Eggs are hard to beat for easy preparation, great versatility and delicious eating. Eggs are also one of nature’s most nourishing foods since they contain varying amounts of most of the nutrients that humans need.

To safely prepare basic egg dishes other than hardcooked, cook your eggs until the whites are completely set and the yolks begin to thicken but are not hard. Cook scrambled eggs, omelets and frittatas until thickened and no visible liquid egg remains. Cooking eggs slowly over gentle heat helps to insure even heat penetration. Once cooked, serve your eggs promptly.

The following recipes were provided courtesy of the Virginia Egg Council, Inc. and we hope you will find satisfying and delicious ideas to suit your needs. We hope they help make your mornings bright as you greet each day with the benefits a tasty breakfast supplies.
