Some three hundred friends and neighbors turned out for a great day of fellowship and fan on “H.B. Wood’s Blue Ridge Overlook” off Route 618 in Woodville on Saturday, Sept. 20. The picnic was dedicated to the honor of Ward Faber Wilkerson Sr., a dear friend of Woodville who passed on to the Lord on Saturday morning. The weather held out until dark as Bluegrass music was provided by R.B. Frazier and the Virginia Travelers of Warrenton. A great time was had by all. “Ya all come next year.”

Mrs. Pearl Hawkins of Alexandria was guest for several days of her sister Mrs. Vallie Butler and Norma Holt. Mrs. Butler, Norma and her guest spent Wednesday in Charlottesville.

Mr. Curtis Crawford and daughter Katherine of Flint Hill were Friday guests of Mrs. Audra Crawford. Mrs. Lillian Sykes of Culpeper was a guest of Mrs. Crawford on Sunday.
