the guide for the big event at Reston Town Center promoting artists in the region. In Fauquier and Rappahannock counties our staff members participated in “Relay for Life,” a local fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. In Loudoun, our staff contribution to the School-Business Partnership by publishing a supplement each year showcasing career opportunities in the county.
Wrapping up, I can’t resist mentioning one last contribution for you animal lovers. We donate space to animal shelters in all of our papers and local managers tell us hundreds of pets find homes due to our ads. These kinds of contributions lie at the heart of our role as community journalists. Giving back to our readers tightens the community fabric for us all.
