The county may soon have another inn and another bed and breakfast establishment.
The Rappahannock County Planning Commission approved the request by Belle Meade Bed and Breakfast to increase their operation to the country inn category, which allows for a maximum of food and lodging for 40 people.
The application was for an upgrade to an inn and for the expansion of the day camp program at Belle Meade along with construction of Belle Meade School.
The commissioners decided the proposed school should rather be a conference center due to the proposed use for the facility.
